LOVE {everything about these pics}

...her hair and smile, the look on his face, the vintage feel, the old signs. Only the best photographers can capture moving images like these:

WANT {all of these lovely things}

...this gorgeous "White Butterfly" Necklace from Color Blind Smarties' Etsy shop, $30.

...these buttery leather boots {brand unknown!} Don't you just want to touch them? Yum. Unfortunately, I discovered them on a listing for crocheted leg warmers, and there's no mention of where the boots are from. So sad! I'm guessing they're Seychelles. Must do some research!

...this amazing "Morcella in Vanilla" bag by Morelle, $143. Another lovely leather creation.

...and this dreamy "Bone + Gold" Feather Necklace from Laura Lombardi Jewelry, $115. I could easily wear this every day. Indeed.

WANT {this outfit}

...minus the gloves, and with a not-so-furry purse, hehe. I can't wait for the cool weather to come back so I can snuggle up in soft scarves and flowy dresses. Mmm.

LOVE {sharing crafty ideas}

LOVE this before and after project from Kate Leary @ Mia Place Kate Design. While Kate uses her chalkboard-paint covered table, which she found on Craigslist for $75, as a dining table, imagine the possibilities... a child's desk, a craft table, a holiday serving table... Too cute. :o)

Milk Butter & Eggs Calico Shopper, $12

NEED {to order these pet tags}

LOVE the "P" tag with the name and phone number imprinted on it. Sky and Dexter would look so adorable with their initials hanging from their little necks! Check out Good Dog's Etsy shop for tons of other unique options for your furry friends.

LOVE {free vicky's}

Print and enjoy! ♥

WANT {UGG® australia classic tall stripe cable knit boots}

I've never really been a fan of UGGS, but these cable knit boots from their Winter 2009 line are pretty darn cute, don't you think? Imagine them paired with some denim shorts and a cream sweater- very nice! They remind me of the striped knee-high socks I wear around the house on chilly nights. If they're as comfy as they look, I may need to get a pair, pronto. :o)

INSPIRED {by this photo}

With spring right around the corner {not really, but time flies!}, my mind is full of ideas for spring luncheons, bridal showers, and Mother's Day brunches. I find myself seriously inspired by this sweet table arrangement. :o) LOVE the lime green runner against the crisp white linens, the square white plates, the gorgeous green chairs, the cluster of dangling lanterns, and the lovely assortment of green and pink flowers. What woman wouldn't want to spend an afternoon sipping on raspberry mojitos and nibbling on those yummy little cakes?

NEED {to remember these words}

Gotta stay strong for the hubby. ♥

ADORE {vintage circus-themed weddings}

There's something about the carefree vibe of Adam + Halli's circus-themed wedding that brings a huge smile to my face. How could you not have a blast at their wedding? Great job, guys!

WANT {a relaxing beach day}

Did I mention that my hubby, Evan, is going in for surgery to reconstruct his shattered heel on Wednesday? Pobrecito. I'd give anything to spend a relaxing day at the beach with him, but it looks like our next couple months will consist of a lot of movie-watching and not so many beach days. {insert pouty face}

ADORE {do-it-yourself pinwheels + ribbon wands}

Once Wed, one of my favorite wedding blogs, has just posted a tutorial for these precious do-it-yourself pinwheels and ribbon wands. I'm reposting this for any of you who have a wedding, bridal shower, or vintage-themed party coming up. It does get much cuter than this and, at only $6 for 12, it doesn't get much cheaper either! Enjoy.

What You’ll Need (for the pinwheels)
Several sheets of 12" x 12" double sided scrapbook or decorative paper (a lighter weight paper, not stiff, heavy card stock)
Round-headed pins
12" wooden dowels
Hot glue gun and glue sticks
A push pin
Flower shaped craft punch
A pair of scissors
A ruler

Pinwheel Instructions
1. Begin by measuring and cutting several 6" inch squares out of your paper.
2. Find the center of your one of the squares and mark it by poking a hole through it with your pushpin. (see figure 1)
3. Lay your paper pattern side down, and use your ruler to draw
diagonal lines from each corner to make an "X". (see figure 1)
4. Cut along the diagonal lines, from all four corners, stopping
one inch before you meet the hole in the center of your paper. (see
figure 2)
5. Use your pushpin to make a hole in the right hand corner of
each side of the square, just to the left of the line you just cut.
(see figure 3)
6. Use your punch to cut out a paper flower. Stick your round-headed pin through the center of the flower. (see figure 3)
7. One by one, bring each of the four pin-holed corners to the
center and stick the flower and pin through each of the four holes.
(see figure 4 and 5)
8. Next, put the pin through the hole in the center of the square and set aside.
9. Make a pilot hole, using your pushpin, 1/2 inch down from the end of the dowel.
10. Put a drop of hot glue on the hole, and quickly insert the
pin that runs through the pinwheel center into the glue and dowel.
(see figure 6 and 7) Be careful not to let the pinwheel paper touch
the glue on the dowel while it’s drying. If it sticks, it can’t spin.
11. Arrange your completed pinwheels in a vase or container like flower stems.

What it Costs
(to make 12 pinwheels)
4 sheets of paper @ $.50 each = $2.00
Package of 12 dowels = $2.00
Box of pins = $2
Total = $6

What You’ll Need (for the ribbon wands)
20 yards of ribbon total (roughly) - a mix of widths and colors
1 dozen wooden dowels (12" inches long)
1 dozen flowers (paper, silk, or applique)
Scissors
Hot glue gun and glue sticks
Ribbon Wand Instructions
1. Gather several lengths of ribbon of varied colors and widths and tie them in a knot around the end of a wooden dowel.
2. Use your glue gun to attach a flower (paper, silk, or sequin applique (as shown) on the the ribbon knot.
3. Neatly trim the ends of the ribbon at an angle.
4. Place in a vase or container, like the pin wheels, for your guests.
